THE DANISH WINDMILL IN KENMARE, NORTH DAKOTA!
The windmill was built by Danish immigrant Christian C. Jensen on his homestead 11 miles north of Kenmare, North Dakota. The ingenious inner mechanisms of the mill used power generated by four 18-foot long vanes to crush grain and produce 200 sacks of flour a day. A stairway to the upper portion of the mill enables visitors to get a better view of the mill's innards. You think you know windmills? Peteena says, "Think again!"
